FAQ

How do you pronounce your last name?

Powars as in: “My friends are my power!”

And Page is your real name?

Page is my real name. No, I never changed my name nor renamed myself after a page in a book. I’m cringe but not that cringe.

Will The Borrow a Boyfriend Club be sold in my country or translated into my language?

I hope! So far, The Borrow a Boyfriend Club has sold to publishers who directly cover the US, UK/Commonwealth, Canada, and Poland—but these extend into other countries too, especially the EU. No matter what, you can order my books internationally through Blackwell’s online. I suggest following me on Instagram for updates.

What are you writing now?

I’m working on my next young adult rom-com, And They Were Roommates, and some other exciting projects I unfortunately can’t share yet. I’ll do my best to keep improving! Thank you, as always, for being interested!

Are you available to speak at my school, library, or book club?

Absolutely! You can go to my contact page, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Can I request a review copy or ARC?

Yes, you can visit Netgalley or Edelweiss. You can also email my publicists via my Contact page.

Are your rom-coms standalone novels or a series?

Standalones, but my books do all take place on the same planet—ours!—so my different characters can certainly run into each other. If you keep your eyes peeled, you may see some crossed paths.

What are your favorite books?

Here’s my list on Bookshop!

What was your process to becoming a writer?

As a kid, I spent most of my time living in video game lore. When not doing that, I played piano, so being a video game composer sounded like an option once university hit; I could at least create music for stories. But during music school, that still didn’t feel enough, so I started writing books and composing soundtracks for them in my free time. It was like creating a whole world—or a video game! I wrote a couple of bad novels that will never see shelves, then sold The Borrow a Boyfriend Club at 24, but it didn’t release until I was 27! Publishing is slow. Once you’re in “the system” though, things tend to move quicker. Now I’m publishing about one book a year.

Do you have any advice for those who want to write?

As long as you read and study books in your genre, I strongly believe you don’t need an English or Creative Writing degree to be an author. I have never taken a writing class outside of high school. I could never. Short stories? I would suck.

But, like, what are you?
